QuickBooks Beefs up Existing Features Improving Productivity and Efficiency

Intuit has beefed up several existing features in the PC QuickBooks Desktop products (Pro, Pro Plus, Premier, Premier Plus, Accountant, Enterprise) that will help you get work done faster and more efficiently.

Auto Matching for customer online payments – Now when you customer pays you online, most payments will automatically match up to the correct invoice – saving some of you lots of time (and searching!).

Bank Feeds The new Advanced Mode (which you turn on in the Company Checking Preferences) lets you automatically categorize bank transactions by using more powerful rules, and batched entering. While you’ve been able to create rules before, now you can add more to the rule

Preview PDF Invoice and attachment

Now you easily preview your invoice and attachments before you send to customers.  FYI – this actually slipped into the 2020 version of QuickBooks with the R5 patch, so if you’re in 2020, check it out!

Simplified Employee Setup

QuickBooks 2020 offered a more guided payroll setup and employers were able to invite employees to fill out their own personal information (a nice timesaver and no more deciphering handwriting 😉). Payroll Liability Reminders in Calendars

While I like the payroll liability reminder on the home page, if you’re not in QuickBooks every day, you could easily miss a tax payment.  Starting with the R5 release in 2020, you can now setup a reminder and send it to your calendar (MS Outlook, Google Calendar, iCalendar and Windows Calendar)!   This is for

QuickBooks Capital

While QuickBooks Capital has been around for a while, they have not streamlined their process when you integrate your QuickBooks Desktop.  QuickBooks Capital has no hidden fees, no origination fees and no prepayment penalties
